Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens

Depart the city and head to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens which is acclaimed as one of the great botanic gardens of the world. Few gardens can match the sheer grandeur of the setting of Kirstenbosch, against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. More than just a garden, Kirstenbosch is part of a nature reserve. The 36-hectare garden is part of a 528-hectare estate that contains protected mountainside supporting natural forest and fynbos along with a variety of animals and birds. The Kirstenbosch Estate borders the Table Mountain National Park, and the Garden merges seamlessly with the natural fynbos and forest of the mountain.

Constantia

Nestled beneath the Table Mountain National Park and the commanding vistas of the Constantiaberg lies the oldest wine-making region in the southern hemisphere. The Constantia Wine Valley is filled with heritage and landscapes of unsurpassed beauty. Enjoy lunch (to own account) and raise a toast to a wonderful day of exploration at a wine estate in the Constantia region.
