Arrival at the Cape Town Civic Centre, the headquarters of the City of Cape Town.

Embark on a 3-hour technical tour at the City of Cape Town headquarters. Delegates will gain insight into how spatial information is strategically applied to strengthen urban governance, guide the City’s Integrated Development Plan, and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through engaging presentations from key municipal departments, the tour will highlight practical applications of geospatial innovation, including:

  • Property management and data-driven asset administration

  • Urban planning for sustainable growth and infrastructure development

  • Stormwater infrastructure management to build resilience against climate challenges

  • Heritage protection to safeguard Cape Town’s cultural identity
