The Itinerary

Aquila Overnight Safari

Day 1 | CT to Aquila

Private Transfer

09h00 Depart your Cape Town based hotel with an ILIOS Travel chauffeur. Travel toward the rural town of Touws River, passing the picturesque Cape Winelands en route and via majestic mountain passes.

 

Arrival at Aquila

You will reach your Karoo destination after midday and you will be greeted with a welcome drink. A buffet lunch awaits you followed by check-in to your room.

 

2 to 3hr Game Drive

As the day starts to cool under the late afternoon sun, embark on a safari led by an experienced ranger who will share inside stories and facts about your surroundings.

 

Buffet Dinner

Return to the lodge for a buffet dinner followed by stargazing with one of the rangers/guides. You can also enjoy a drink or two under the night sky around the outdoor boma fire.

AM Safari and Breakfast

After an early morning wake-up call and coffee, embark on a morning safari through the reserve. In the coolness of the morning, you may encounter other species of wildlife that you may not have seen the afternoon before. The 1,5 to 2 hour game drive will be followed by a well-deserved buffet breakfast.

 

Check-out and time at leisure

Breakfast will be followed by check-out formalities. You can then spend some time at leisure around the bar and pool facilities. There is also a Spa on site where you can spoil yourself to a special treatment.

 

Return to Cape Town

Around midday, you will bid your hosts at Aquila Private Game Reserve a fond farewell as you head on your journey back to Cape Town.
